"Art In the Arena"
Free event held annually the second Saturday of November
Arts and crafts show featuring 30+ local artisans, raffles,
food trucks, and coffee vendor.
Funds raised at last year’s events helped us treat and rehabilitate over 300 wild lives this season. In addition to the animals that stay here at The Pond Digger Ranch for their full treatment and recovery, we temporarily housed several dozen hawks, falcons, and owls until they could be connected with the right facility to complete their recovery and release back to the wild.
We use the funds we raise to treat, feed, and house the wildlife that come here. We completed our amazing escape proof raccoon cages this year, that are also strong and safe enough to protect the babies from the predators that roam our ranch regularly in hopes of an easy meal.
This year, we are planning to build out some larger squirrel and skunk enclosures, that will keep them safe and secure until release, and hopefully keep us from getting sprayed again!
Here is an approximate list of the critters that stayed at the ranch until their release.
70 squirrels
30 raccoons
60 opossum
15 ravens
11 crows
15 skunks
More than 100 small birds like doves blue jays and mockingbirds

We will be riding 200 miles to raise funds for the animals!
This is our twist to the 4x4x48 Challenge (google it) which begins Friday March 8th. Instead of running twelve “legs” every four hours, we will be riding pedal assist bicycles. This means we will be riding at 5pm, 9pm, 1am etc.
Go to How to help for all the ways to give a tax deductible donation to The Pond Digger Ranch Wildlife Rehab 501(c)3, either financially or in-kind (such as leftover food, blankets, used pet carriers / cages etc.).
Our finish line party will be at Hops & Spokes Brewery at approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 10th after our last leg. Come celebrate over a pint and some good grub.
Psalm 50:10-11 “For every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine.”
